International employees are invited to participate in a workshop on intercultural communication and cultural adaptation at UW.

During the workshop we will:

  • explore different communication styles and assumptions concerning everyday cooperation in the academic context,
  • discuss possible misunderstandings in intercultural communication,
  • find out about the concept of Global Dexterity,
  • discuss the challenges to cultural adaptation at UW,
  • develop some useful strategies to bridge differences.

  2. In order to attend the workshop administrative and service workers are asked to send a signed permission from their immediate supervisor to The supervisor’s consent template can be downloaded below.

  4. Registration for the workshop is tantamount to a commitment to participate in it.
  5. Information about the results of the enrollment will be provided after the verification of applications and after the registration deadline.
