International employees are invited to participate in a workshop on intercultural communication and cultural adaptation at UW.

During the workshop we will:

  • explore different communication styles and assumptions concerning everyday cooperation in the academic context,
  • discuss possible misunderstandings in intercultural communication,
  • find out about the concept of Global Dexterity,
  • discuss the challenges to cultural adaptation at UW,
  • develop some useful strategies to bridge differences.

  1. The training is dedicated to the foreign employees at University of Warsaw, hired on the basis of employment contracts, especially the academics.
  2. In order to attend the workshop administrative and service workers are asked to send a signed permission from their immediate supervisor to welcome.event@uw.edu.pl The supervisor’s consent template can be downloaded below.
  3. Persons who meet the conditions above are accepted in the order of registration on the platform.
  4. Registration for the workshop is tantamount to a commitment to participate in it.
  5. Information about the results of the enrollment will be provided after the verification of applications and after the registration deadline.
